Students under 18 special care
Parents of students under 18 must nominate a responsible adult to be guardian for their son / daughter. If parents do not wish to appoint their own guardian the college will provide, at an additional cost, the services of a Student Supervisor. Details are available on request. All students under the age of 18 have regular interviews with the student care counselling staff and the academic counsellors to ensure that all their personal and study needs are being met. Students care Counselling Services Student services staff are able to assist students with any personal difficulties or problems they may experience while studying in Emergency Assistance & Medical Care
All students carry an identification card with their address and the 24 hour emergency contact phone number to provide them with the security of knowing that they can get assistance from the counselling staff at any time. There are many local doctors and hospitals located close to campus.

Language, Literacy and Numeracy Assistance Students who are having difficulties with study due to language, literacy or numeracy issues will be assessed to determine what level of assistance is required. Students with language difficulties will be referred to the Legislation A range of legislation is applicable to IDS and all staff and Student’s.
